Boring website

I've spent ages trying to design this site and make it cute, but at the end of the day, all I want is plain HTML and a monospace font. I am very capable with CSS but I like having a really minimal website. The appeal of the old web to me- and I mean really old web, like BBS boards and IRC- is the boringness of it, the lack of pretty clutter and noise. I do like the maximalist eye-bleeding layouts that you see on most Neocities sites, but that's not how I want to express myself. I feel that my words should stand on their own.
